- Character Conversion / Player Origin. Randall Hampton brought Zaxibus, a retired 15th-level human wizard NPC from a long-running home campaign.
- What is this character’s name? - Zaxibus (Zaxi for short; no last name).
- What is their ancestry? - Human.
- What is your job or role? - Retired 15th-Level Wizard & Tavern Proprietor. Zaxibus is a retired adventurer who co-owns and manages Prickly Pete's Pouring Station, a famous seaside inn, tavern, and brewery in Seashell Town on the island of Urst's Folly.
- How old are you? - Adult (In his mid-to-late 30s, roughly 36 to 38 years old).
- Describe your physical appearance. - Zaxibus stands 6'1" tall with bushy, sandy-blonde hair and a neatly trimmed goatee. He wears a striking, bright yellow cloak with red piping over a sturdy tunic. His thick, worn leather gloves give a +1 bonus to his spellcasting modifier and feature scrawled runic inscriptions hidden under the cuffs that glow when he casts spells.
- Describe yourself with 3 adjectives. - Well-Read, Quick-Tempered, and Fireball.
- What is a valuable item/piece of lore/secret that this character possesses? Or do they value an ideal/concept? - Secret—Amorous Flirt & Mug Club President: Zaxibus easily falls in love at the drop of a hat, flirting openly with visiting adventurers. He takes immense pride in his tavern's elite "Mug Club," where members pay 100 gold for a custom-crafted elf stein made in Euat-Omera and displayed on the tavern wall.
- What is a particular quest you would be willing to recruit or hire the player characters to go do? - Retrieving the Goblin-Ear Necklace. Years ago, Zaxibus and his dwarven adventuring partners cleared out a massive goblin stronghold in the northern forests of Urst's Folly. A fallen companion left behind a prized gold chain necklace strung with dried goblin ears. Zaxibus hires adventurers to return to the stronghold and retrieve it.
- What would be their reward for succeeding? - 300 Gold or Lifetime Mug Club Membership. Upon receiving the ear-strung gold necklace, Zaxibus offers the party a choice of 300 gold or a lifetime membership to the Prickly Pete's Mug Club (complete with personalized steins on the wall and free rounds of beer when listening to his tales).
- What would be the consequence of failure or refusing the call? - The Wall of Shame. If the party refuses the quest, Zaxibus has the tavern's staff artist draw an embarrassing portrait of them to post on Prickly Pete's "Wall of Shame." If they cause trouble in the tavern, Zaxibus uses Bigby's Hand (or his bouncer) to physically hurl them out onto the docks.
